This turn of the century era boat was designed for use by the US Customs Service for shore-to-shore transport of officials. The design proved so reliable, that many were built as private yachts that were finished in elegant woods, brass fittings and furnished to suit the style of their owners. Full sized plans and templates have the location of the original steam installation shown. A simpler method for operation would be an electric motor, a steam engine sound simulator and a steam generator.
